Licheń – a place of religious worship The Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows Queen of Poland, one of the largest Marian shrines in Poland, is situated there. The picturesque Saint Dorothy Church with its mystical ambience is also worth visiting. Walking on towards Licheńskie Lake, you can stop at Licheń Well, known to hold ‘miracle water’ since 1968.
Toruń and its most beautiful Gothic Old Town. The itinerary includes visiting the Cathedral of St. Johns and St. Mary’s Church. You will walk and see the city defensive walls, the granaries, the Monastery Gate, the Bishops’ Palace, Nicolaus Copernicus’ House and Statue, and the Leaning Tower.
Kruszwica – a charming little town with a 12th-century Roman Collegiate. You can climb to the top of the Mice Tower and admire the surroundings. If you like being on water, you can take a boat trip on Lake Gopło.
Biskupin – an archaeological open-air museum built on the site of a Lusatian culture fortified settlement.
Gniezno – a town built on seven hills. One of the oldest and most beautiful Polish towns, famous for its cathedral featuring the Gniezno Doors with relief scenes from the life and martyrdom of Saint Adalbert of Prague. The tour also includes a stroll around the market square and its vicinity, and visiting Our Lady’s Assumption Basilica in the nearby Trzemeszno.
Pakość – a cosy little town on the River Noteć. There are 25 chapels of the Calvary and the Way of the Cross. The Calvary is the second oldest in Poland. The St. Bonaventure Church located in a former castle, is also worth seeing. The market square is surrounded by 19th-century tenement houses and there is a statue of the town’s patron saint – James the Great – sitting on a bench in the corner. In Barcińska Street, you can see the Church of Crucifixion on the Calvary Hill. Do not miss the neo-Gothic palace of Jankowo, visible at a distance at the end of the tour of Pakość The structure resembles a Scottish castle and is surrounded by a landscape park.
