Inspired by Latin American rhythms, this form of physical activity combines dance and fitness. It was created by Alberto “Beto” Perez, a Colombian dancer and choreographer in the 1990s. The choreographic designs reflects various rhythms, such as salsa, reggaeton, flamenco, samba, belly dancing, cha-cha, rumba, bachata, cumbia and twist. Zumba is a way to have great fun while shaping up your body, burning fat and improving fitness. The classes are designed for everyone – there are no age restrictions.
